The study objective is to study dentists waste management practices of amalgam, contain mercury, in Ramallah and al-Bireh dental clinics.  Dentists in 37 clinics were interviewed with regards to amalgam waste management practices.  Results were shown in tables 2 and 3.  The results indicated that most dentist dispose amalgam into trash.  Trash is burnt in Ramallah landfill on weekly bases resulting in the evaporation of mercury in the atmosphere.  In addition, the disposal of amalgam in ramallah landfill results in mercury seeping into water resources and soil.
